From Bottleneck to 4x Growth

BIG Nordic is a B2B event organizer running high-impact conferences across the Nordic and Benelux regions, with known yearly events like CyberSec Nordic, CFO Nordic, AI & Business Futures, CPO Nordic and more. Their events bring together C-Level decision-makers, strategic partners, and industry leading speakers, creating an ecosystem of partnerships and conversations that drive the industry forward.

Christian Ehrström, Founder & Operator, founded the company in 2023 and has been leading the organisation’s growth from the start.

Early on, the ambition was clear: Expand the portfolio: more events, more partners, more seats filled. The demand was there. The time wasn’t.

With a lean team, BIG Nordic was hitting a volume bottleneck. Reaching hundreds of attendees and engaging the right strategic partners for each event required a level of outreach that the internal team simply couldn’t sustain alongside everything else.

The question became a practical one: Hire 3–4 people in-house, or find another solution? When you factor in onboarding costs and ramp time, the answer pointed clearly toward a flexible external partner.

Hit the ground running

The collaboration started with chemistry. The founders connected naturally, spoke the same language - both literally and in terms of mentality and pace. A short market test quickly confirmed the potential.

The Nordic Group operates across multiple workstreams for BIG Nordic: securing partner introductions, attendee acquisition, one-to-one meeting booking for partners, and white-label projects. In practice, they function less like a vendor and more like an extension of the internal team - embedded in the work and aligned on the goals.

4x growth in event portfolio since start

In 2023, BIG Nordic was running two events and building toward a portfolio of four. Today, in 2026, that portfolio stands at 10 larger yearly events plus 10 additional focused roundtable events. The company has grown 4x since the collaboration began - and the ceiling, as it turns out, isn’t a question of capacity anymore.

The quality of booked partner meetings has been equally striking: around 90% of the partner meetings arranged have converted into ongoing partnerships - a sign that the outreach was hitting the right people with the right message.

For the internal team, the biggest day-to-day benefit is focus. Instead of spending time on meeting booking and attendee acquisition, the team can concentrate on selling and making sure events run well.
